What Is Youth
Athlete Training?

Youth Athlete Training at Full Circle is built around one goal: making your young athlete harder to stop. Every session is designed specifically for the demands of their sport — developing the strength, speed, and coordination that coaches look for and opponents can't match.

Jeremiah Trostle brings a deep understanding of youth athletic development — building programs that account for age, growth stage, and sport specificity. The result isn't just a stronger kid. It's a more confident, more capable athlete who shows up to practice already ahead.

Who This Is For
  • Hockey players ages 8–18 looking to gain an edge on the ice
  • Multi-sport athletes wanting to build a stronger athletic foundation
  • Young athletes coming off an injury or returning to sport
  • Parents who want measurable improvement — not just more practice
  • Athletes preparing for tryouts, combines, or a new season
  • Kids who want to compete at a higher level — and are willing to work for it
What a Typical Session Looks Like
01
Dynamic Warm-Up
Sport-specific movement preparation — activating the muscle groups that matter most for their position and sport. Reduces injury risk and gets athletes ready to perform from rep one.
02
Speed & Agility Work
First-step quickness, change-of-direction, and reaction training that translates directly to game situations — whether that's a first stride on the ice or a lateral cut on the field.
03
Strength Development
Age-appropriate strength training built around functional movement patterns. Jeremiah scales every exercise to the athlete's development stage — building real strength without compromising form or long-term health.
04
Sport-Specific Conditioning
High-intensity conditioning intervals that mirror the work-to-rest ratios of real competition. Athletes train to last — and finish stronger than they started.
05
Recovery & Cool-Down
Guided cool-down, mobility work, and athlete check-ins. Jeremiah debrefs every session — making sure athletes understand what they worked on and why it matters for their sport.

Questions
From Parents

Have a question not covered here? Call Jeremiah directly at (717) 887-7186 — he's happy to talk through what the right program looks like for your athlete.

What ages does the youth program serve?
Full Circle's Youth Athlete Training program serves athletes ages 8 through 18. Programming is scaled to each athlete's age, developmental stage, and sport — an 8-year-old and a 16-year-old are not doing the same session.
What sports does this program cover?
While Full Circle has deep roots in hockey — located inside York Ice Arena — the youth program serves athletes across all sports including lacrosse, football, baseball, basketball, and multi-sport athletes. The principles of speed, strength, agility, and conditioning transfer across every sport.
Is this safe for athletes who are still growing?
Yes. Jeremiah designs every youth program with age-appropriate loading and movement patterns. Young athletes are not miniature adults — their training reflects that. Emphasis is placed on movement quality, body awareness, and building a foundation that supports long-term athletic development.
How often should my athlete train?
Most youth athletes see strong results training 2–3 times per week, in addition to their sport practices and games. Jeremiah coordinates programming around your athlete's competitive schedule to avoid overtraining and keep them fresh for competition.
Will I see real improvement in performance?
That's the goal — and parents consistently report noticing measurable differences in their athlete's strength, speed, balance, and confidence. Jeremiah tracks progress and adjusts programming to keep athletes moving forward all season long.
